OK, I scanned some document (on Tue Dec 27 16:14:00 CET 2016) and then
saved it as a PDF, log attached.
Note: The "Save" dialog came up with a date of "2016-12-26" (see attached
screen shot), and that's what appears in the PDF (CreationDate:   Mon Dec
26 01:00:00 2016 CET) and also the file's modify timestamp.
