Package: apcupsd
Version: 3.14.12-1.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Newer APC UPS devices require support for a protocol called modbus.
For apcupsd to be able to control such UPSes, it needs to be
built with modbus/usb support (--enable-modbus-usb build option and
build dependencies on libmodbus-dev and libusb-dev).

Please consider rebuilding apcupsd packages with the above option
and build dependencies enabled in all supported versions of Debian.

For more information please refer to [1].
