A full implementation of this feature encounters complexities such as how to handle commits and log additions across multiple directories and files, commits of specific files with log entries registered on their parent directories, hot to amalgamate multiple log fragments, and a whole new UI to support the editing and deletion of stored log fragments. Therefore, I feel confident in predicting that it is vanishingly unlikely that this feature would ever be implemented, when simple use of 'vi mylog' as necessary accomplishes more-or-less the same goals.
