The upstream flightgear-data 2016.4.1, 2, 3 and 4 are completely
identical except the version number - only flightgear and simgear were
actually being changed, but this check required all of them to be
re-released.
Upstream have just relaxed this requirement (in current development
only; would probably work in 2016.4, but not tested):
https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/simgear/ci/fd34cc30b8ef0d61d0763cf44eec534dfa02686e/
https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/flightgear/ci/4a3ee6a74a1416451cfc94be9be788b39e2f97ec/
Alternatively, we could edit the 'version' files (in the source root of
each) to make them think they're all the same version.
(If you want it to work now, rather than after the 10-day
unstable-to-testing wait, the latter also works on the installed
/usr/share/games/flightgear/version)

Dear Maintainer,
I installed a fresh copy of flightgear a day or two ago, along with its dependencies. The
version on the main flightgear package is 2016.4.3, but all dependencies are version
2016.4.2. The flightgear startup dialog asked for the path to the data files. After a bit
of googling and checking my system, I pointed it to /usr/share/games/flightgear. The
dialog then complained "The chosen location (/usr/share/games/flightgear) contains
files for version 2016.4.2, but this is FlightGear 2016.4.3. Please update or try another
location".
I have not tried downloading a copy of the 2016.4.3 data from upstream.
Presumably that would work, but I would prefer that the flightgear package
dependencies be as strict as the game itself is, so that the installed game
works as-is.
