I’ve too been hit by this bug (also in google-chrome-stable -since several weeks ago-). The pkill -f 'chromium --type=gpu-process' workaround works for me (also in chrome). I have 3 pc’s where I use chromium and google-chrome a lot (mostly the latter): o) desktop with up2date debian sid o) laptop with up2date debian stretch o) laptop with up2date debian jessie IIRC, all of them have the same version of chromium/google-chrome-stable packages. It only happens to me on my desktop with debian sid. If it’s of any relevance, it has this video card: 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV730 GL [FirePro V5700] While the other 2 laptops have an intel. I would happily provide any information or do any test to help fix this. It’s really annoying. Thanks. -- Kiko
