Hi all, This is the owner of RFP bug for vc package (#846491) and let's push the process forward a little bit.

The reason is that "vc" is highly unlikely to be used by other packages because *Ubuntu* named this package as "vc" and "vc-dev". See http://packages.ubuntu.com/zesty/vc-dev. That said, we should get into contact with upstream author if we really want an alternative name. Note that "libvc" cannot be used because we already have "libvc" and "libvc-dev". -- Sincerely, Boyuan Yang
