A search for 'sourceMappingURL' reveals that this is something that is used to allow one to debug minified JS, by ensuring that one can map back to the original source -- I think you should mention that fact, as repeatedly using the term sourceMappingURL without bothering to define it forces one to wonder what it is supposed to mean. How about: This module provides functions for manipulating sourceMappingURL comments (searching for, inserting and removing them). . These comments are used to provide the ability to map code that has been browserified/minified back to the original source files, to facilitate debugging. .
