Package: getmail4
Version: 4.4.3-1
Severity: normal

When I put a line like
  certfile = ~/.certs/mycert.pem
in the config file, getmail fails with this error:
  Configuration error: optional certfile must be path to a valid file

Using the path without the ~ works (ie, /home/user/.certs/mycert.pem).

A lot of examples are using ~ in some places (like message_log), where
it works so the user expects it to work there too.
