I thought SyncML was an emerging standard in the last decade and in 2017 it's an obligatory feature. > that with hcitool and sdptool under the "Troubleshooting" section from > https://syncevolution.org/wiki/sync-your-phone-bluetooth Checked that. Well, ok, that might explain it. But could you please create a messagebox saying "no supported SyncML or CalDAV device found" or something like that rather than keeping the user look stupid? > > Installed the best tool for that I could find in apt-cache search... > > Before, paired the device with blueman and it seems to be registered > > normally. > > > > * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or > > ineffective)? > > > > Started sync-ui. Instead have a look at "Command-line synchronization" > at https://syncevolution.org/wiki/sync-your-phone-bluetooth Comes from a lot of facepalming. My car supports my phones contacts quite well. And all Mercedes cars I get to drive sometimes almost perfectly. But in the Linux land, well, when I apt-cache-search for "bluetooth contact" the only thing I find is syncevolution and sync-ui and it's apparently totally useless with modern phones. Regards, Eduard.
