I thought SyncML was an emerging standard in the last decade and
in 2017 it's an obligatory feature.

Checked that. Seems not to be supported.

Well, ok, that might explain it. But could you please create a
messagebox saying "no supported SyncML or CalDAV device found" or
something like that rather than keeping the user look stupid?

Comes from a lot of facepalming. My car supports my phones contacts
quite well. And all Mercedes cars I get to drive sometimes almost
perfectly. But in the Linux land, well, when I apt-cache-search for
"bluetooth contact" the only thing I find is syncevolution and sync-ui
and it's apparently totally useless with modern phones.
