Dear Maintainer,
my home directory has grown organically over the years, and at a time
was mounted both from an Ubuntu and Debian install. As such, it had the
following symlink in place:
lrwxrwxrwx 2 foo foo 13 Nov 23 2015 .icedove -> .thunderbird/
The /usr/bin/thunderbird script detects this situation and errors out.
While this is trivial to fix for me, maybe other people have such a
symlink and would appreciate a slightly more versatile migration script.
Possible approaches on symlink detection:
* (in case the migration script is idempotent):
just do the additional fixups in-place
* (in case it is not):
copy .thunderbird to .icedove_moved_by_thunderbird_starter before fixup
_or_
* just delete the .icedove symlink and assume any internal paths
in .thunderbird are consistent.
