Some of these classes use the nom.tam.fits package (libfits-java) for low-level FITS access, though several of them do most of the handling in customised ways themselves for efficiency reasons. The package will be maintained by the Debian Astro team. It is part of the effort to package the Virtual Observatory Java tools from Starlink. A git repository will be created at https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-astro/packages/starjava-fits.git The package depends on the creation of starjava-array, starjava-table, and starjava-util.
