Package: iotop
Version: 0.6-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I monitored my hard disk write access with

sudo iotop -bktoqqqd 5

and

iostat -dzp 5

While iotop returns

Device: tps kB_read/s kB_wrtn/s kB_read kB_wrtn
sdb 1.60 0.00 8.78 0 44
sdb1 1.60 0.00 8.78 0 44

iostat returns

10:42:14 1489 be/4 root 0.00 K/s 0.00 K/s 0.00 % 0.04 %
[kworker/0:0]

It seems like iotop does not report the write access correctly.

I also describe this problem at http://unix.stackexchange.com/q/347634/159562

and it has been noticed by others at http://serverfault.com/q/487418/330169.
