Verify failure start up a clean chroot; update to latest adduser, remove Debian-exim user from /etc/passwd, /etc/group, and remove the entry from /var/lib/dpkg/statoverride; reinstall exim4-base Adding system-user for exim (v4) groupadd: GID 100 is not unique adduser: `/usr/sbin/groupadd -g 100 Debian-exim' returned error code 4.
