Ok, as mate boots the mateweather-app gives the following messages(cat /var/log/syslog.1 | grep "mateweather-app"): http://pastebin.com/Y2DppMQp
These errors are probably not the cause but might be related. Google searching brought me this: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1288309 I am also getting messages like these: Mar 12 00:49:59 Gentz-NewPc mateweather-app[1829]: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged. Mar 12 00:53:04 Gentz-NewPc mateweather-app[1829]: Source ID 3069 was not found when attempting to remove it And finaly when the issue happens I get these messages: Mar 12 04:04:37 Gentz-NewPc mateweather-app[1829]: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.GLib.UnmappedError.NotificationDaemonErrorQuark.Code1: Exceeded maximum number of notifications Syslog has exact same messages... the logs don't seam to be useful. Tomorrow I'll try compiling mate-weather and determining when the bug happens.
