Package: swig
Version: 3.0.8-0ubuntu3
Severity: wishlist

At the moment /usr/bin/ccache-swig is installed in the same package as
/usr/bin/swig.
This package however does not provide a symlink in /usr/lib/ccache, as is the
case
for gcc and other compilers. The user must therefore either create their own
symlink
somewhere, or change the name of the SWIG binary used from "swig" to
"ccache-swig swig",
which may be be easy to do if one is building a package owned by someone else.

It would be useful if a separate ccache-swig binary package could be provided,
containing

/usr/bin/ccache-swig
/usr/lib/ccache/swig -> ../bin/ccache-swig

Anyone who wants to use ccache-swig could then simply install this package, and
append
/usr/lib/ccache to their PATH, as one does when using ccache with gcc, etc.

Cheers,
Karl
