version 3.18.0 is also fine. Currently TB 52.0 is depending on 3.17.0 and Mozilla is mostly increasing the version depends synchron to upstream releases of SQlite. So we mostly can also live with older versions in Thunderbird if we patch the configure stuff in the source. For version 52 of Thunderbird I don't know if we can do this now, so basically I don't want to do such things right now as we haven't packaged the last beta versions of Thunderbird (Icedove). For now I can use the preshipped SQlite stuff inside the tree. I'm not in a hurry as we priority the current ESR version 45.8.0 for the Stretch release. So no need to act immediately.
