Looks like we can finally close this bug now that have the real glibc: Here is what I used (maybe I a missing the point) but at least it does compile: $ cmake -DLIBICONV_INCLUDE_DIR:FILEPATH=/usr/include -DLIBICONV_LIBRARY:FILEPATH=/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 -DLIBCHARSET_LIBRARY:FILEPATH=/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 -DDCMTK_WITH_ICONV:BOOL=ON -DLIBCHARSET_INCLUDE_DIR:FILEPATH=/usr/include - . I am pretty sure about the iconv setting since I see the iconv_* fonction in libc6.so. I am not sure this is correct for charset settings as I was unable to find the actual function needed. You'll need to replace x86_64-linux-gnu with $(DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH). Cheers
