What militates against having fonts-freefont-ttf as a dependency? As it
stands the fonts-freefont entry may as well not be there. After three
years one would expect a justification for including something that
doesn't work.

The texttopdf filter used with the printing system requires a monospaced
font. Freemono provides better coverage of glyphs than DejaVuSansMono.
Why have to jump through hoops to have Freefont used on the system for
printing when the other three dependency packages are not installed?

Drop the fonts-freefonts dependency and do not replace it if you wish,
At least we would know where we stand.
