So set http-chunked-requests=off for the problematic server or get the server fixed. That will unblock you for now while I talk to upstream to see if there's anything else that can be done. The response to the OPTIONS request that is sent shouldn't be causing a 413. The expected response is even smaller than the normal OPTIONS request that is sent when http-chunked-requests=off is set.
