totem-gstreamer crashed on startup. Rebuilding with debug symbols
enabled shows that the crash occurs in src/backend/bacon-video-widget-gst.c,
line 3497:
g_signal_connect (GST_PAD_REALIZE (gst_element_get_pad (audio_sink, "sink")),
"fixate", G_CALLBACK (cb_audio_fixate), (gpointer) bvw);
Investigating further reveals that gst_element_get_pad() returns NULL. I
don't know why this is the case. Other gstreamer applications work
flawless.
