Package: slim Version: 1.3.6-5 Followup-For: Bug #861134 Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrading to slim version 1.3.6-5, my X session gets restarted after some timeout (about a minute I’d say), killing every X client. So the severity of this bug could probably be raised. slim and X are also killed even if I don’t log in. syslog has this to say about this: Apr 25 08:05:26 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Start operation timed out. Terminating. Apr 25 08:05:26 schwendi slim[2719]: (II) Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: Failed to start SLiM Simple Login Manager. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Unit entered failed state. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Triggering OnFailure= dependencies. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Failed to enqueue OnFailure= job: No such file or directory Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Failed with result 'timeout'. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: slim.service: Service hold-off time over, scheduling restart. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: Stopped SLiM Simple Login Manager. Apr 25 08:05:27 schwendi systemd[1]: Starting SLiM Simple Login Manager... Reverting to slim/1.3.6-4+b2 solves the problem.
