Package: splashy Version: 0.1.7 Severity: important Tags: experimental
I've upgraded splashy from 0.1.6svn4 to 0.1.7. It works well at boot, but when I press reboot under kde the screen goes blank until the machine reboots, or I can see only the progress bar on the bottom. I use kdm. My debian is mostly testing with some recompiled packages from unstable (not related to splashy, like openoffice). I use kernel 2.6.15-4 from debian sources and vesafb. I have a nvidia fx5200 card with nvidia proprietary drivers. This is my kernel boot string: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-4-k8susp2 root=/dev/sda2 ro lang=it vga=791 video=vesafb, ywrap quiet If I try "splashy test" as root while in kde it works well. I think it's a problem when kdm switches to text mode and splashy must be started. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (800, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-4-k8susp2 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages splashy depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an Versions of packages splashy recommends: ii lsb 3.0-14 Linux Standard Base 3.0 support pa ii lsb-base 3.0-14 Linux Standard Base 3.0 init scrip -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
