severity 819705 critical quit `rm -rf` is a mighty tool, and must be wielded with extreme care. firmware-b43-installer's use isn't too dangerous, but the fact remains its use *must* be in *prerm* not *postrm*. A theoretical future package which desired to replace firmware-b43-installer (something akin to what #819136 proposes), conflicting would be insufficient since a purge of firmware-b43-installer could happen after that package was installed at which point /that/ package would be broken.
According to jcristau on IRC, the correct release-critical severity is "critical" for this behavior. -- (\___(\___(\______ --=> 8-) EHM <=-- ______/)___/)___/) \BS ( | ehem+sig...@m5p.com PGP 87145445 | ) / \_CS\ | _____ -O #include <stddisclaimer.h> O- _____ | / _/ 8A19\___\_|_/58D2 7E3D DDF4 7BA6 <-PGP-> 41D1 B375 37D0 8714\_|_/___/5445
