Package: hunspell Version: 1.4.1-2+b2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I've tried to check a document with both Russian and English words it it simultaneously, and failed. Only misspelled English words were detected. The following command shows the problem: % hunspell -d en_US,ru_RU Hunspell 1.4.0 ello & ello 13 0: ell, cello, hello, Cello, ells, el lo, el-lo, ell o, Elle, Eloy, elope, Ellison, Eliseo прив error - iconv: ISO8859-1 -> UTF-8 * I don't know where huspell picks the ISO8859-1 encoding, but it seems that it's wrong. Using one ru_RU distionary works fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing-proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages hunspell depends on: ii hunspell-en-us [hunspell-dictionary] 20070829-7 ii libc6 2.24-11 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-18 ii libhunspell-1.4-0 1.4.1-2+b2 ii libncurses5 6.0+20161126-1 ii libncursesw5 6.0+20161126-1 ii libreadline7 7.0-3 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20161126-1 ii myspell-ru [myspell-dictionary] 0.99g5-20 ii myspell-uk [myspell-dictionary] 1.7.1-1 hunspell recommends no packages.
