I disagree with this closure. The bug remains unfixed. > [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > However one cannot see any webmaster etc. problem email address on the page. > > Nor is there any "Discuss This Page" choice. > > All there is is an "Immutable Page" notice. > > If one needs to login first to make comments, then that should be > > noted. > > It is, actually: > http://wiki.debian.org/ points at: > http://wiki.debian.org/#head-f86668f44d1299a0633c24859421845f08ae0c41 That is not the page to which the bug report referred. It's not true to claim the need to register with a particular browser security/privacy setting is described on http://wiki.debian.org/BashCommands - and following the obvious link HelpContents doesn't mention it, nor does HelpOnEditing. It seems unreasonable to expect new users not to believe the ImmutablePage notice and correctly guess that FrontPage will tells them how to edit. (Also, HelpForBeginners and FrontPage both link to WhyWikiWorks, which includes implicit arguments against registration requirement.) Please would you fix this bug by correcting wiki.debian.org's side bar ImmutablePage message, or by removing the lock-out? I can see where the wiki program source code comes from, but not where to diff against or install patches.
