Mapper contains binary file format implementations which are known to break on Big Endian machines. Mapper remains usable without these file formats since the current native format is based on XML. However, the loss of the OCD format would harm exchange with common proprietary software. This might surprise some users.

In addition, I didn't see a possibility to do Big Endian builds without much effort. This is now mitigated by the possibility to build with openSUSE Build service (even locally) for s390x. However, all changes which I could implement upstream would arrive in 0.7.x or later, and cannot easily be backported, due to major changes in source file structure and in CMake files.
