However, please note that I did not reopen any bug report.
Bug #720096 was still outstanding, when I commented it.
It's your reply that has just closed it...

Maybe I should have commented bug #865276 instead, but I failed to find
it, sorry.

What is not clear to me is: bug #865276 was reported *before* the new
rsyslog version migrated to testing. The bug report could have been set
to RC severity, in order to prevent the migration to testing of affected
versions. But it wasn't. Why?

Any ETA for the new unstable version fixing this issue?
