I started up my computer on i386, and later I decided to generate java-package for my amd64. I didn't want to reboot my computer just to generate those package. I have checked that java-package is theoreticaly architecture-independed (the same package for all architecures) It seems that it is shell scrip. Sun's self-extracting tarball is shell script as well. I hoped that It is possible to generate jre package for amd64 on i386 system, so next time i boot on amd64 I will have this pacakge ready-to-use. It seems that make-jkpkg is just extracting tarball and it is packing it back to *.deb?
anyway - It's my fault, so please close this bug, or maybe there should be some different error message saying: "Error: Downloaded java is for different architecture" ? -- Cheers. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
