Package: bugs.debian.org Tags: newcomer Severity: wishlist Hi,
Some Microsoft mices have a problem within X.org which make the mouse wheel far too fast (I mean a single roll on the wheel makes the current web page go to the bottom, for example). Non exhaustive list of impacted mices : Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000 Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 3000 Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500 Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 Note that these mices are fairly common so quite a lot of people might be impacted. A solution exists for this issue, which is explained there : https://launchpad.net/resetmsmice I tested it and it works well, so just rebuilding the package for Debian should be enough. Could you please integrate this package within Debian coming releases, and ideally the next Stretch point release (or at least stretch bpo) ? Thanks a lot ! -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
