FWIW, --use-tor forces the use of Tor for DNS lookups. This does not use the limited Tor features for DNS but by default uses the DNS server 8.8.8.8. If you want to use another DNS server you can set it with --namesever. Make sure to use a high traffic public server and not some private or low-traffic server.
