Hi Jonas, Niko Tyni (28 Nov 2015): > Package: libical-parser-sax-perl > Version: 1.09-3 > Severity: serious > Tags: sid > Forwarded: https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=109258
> This package fails to build on current sid/amd64. For the record: * I've just reproduced this issue on current sid/amd64. * I have proposed a year ago [1] to remove this package. * It was not shipped in Stretch due to this bug report. * This package has one single reverse-dependency (libical-parser-html-perl) that itself is a leaf package. [1] https://lists.debian.org/debian-perl/2016/06/msg00038.html > [rt.cpan.org #109258] blames DateTime-Event-Recurrence-0.18 > and DateTime-Set-0.3600. The above timeline indeed matches > libdatetime-event-recurrence-perl_0.18-1. Since then upstream did not reply. With all this in mind, I'm very much tempted to go ahead and request the removal of this package + its reverse-dependency from sid, unless someone is interested enough in this package to work on a fix (that might be in DateTime-Event-Recurrence or elsewhere). Jonas, what do you think? Cheers, -- intrigeri
