Package: qemu-system-x86

Version: 1:2.8+dfsg-6+deb9u2

With this version every running domU slowly fills up the available RAM and
random oom-kills happens.

I have only HVM domUs, so don’t know if the same happens with PV domUs.

I tried the following in grub:

-          dom0_mem=8192M

-          dom0_mem=8192M,max:8192M

-          dom0_mem=8192M,min:8192M,max:8192M

with ballooning disabled, didn’t work.

I tried it with ballooning and without the dom0_mem parameter, didn’t work.

I tried it with downgraded kernel package, didn’t work.

On every tries, the behavior is the same:

-          VM starts

-          Top’s output of a domU that has „memory=2048M” in config and Xen
booted up with ballooning disabled:
17781     root  20   0 3871,7m 3,178g   3,6m S   2,9 41,6   3:18.95
qemu-system-x86   6 4   3:18   0,0m     0

Once I reverted the qemu-system-x86 package back to version 1:2.8+dfsg-6 the
error went away.
