Package: vim Version: 2:8.0.0946-1 Followup-For: Bug #872302 This is discussed as issue 1986 at Github [0] and seems to have been resolved in Vim patch 8.0.0973 [1] (I have not tested it myself, but other reports seem positive). Once a version newer than this is uploaded to Debian, this bug should be resolved.
