With https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/cockpit.git/commit/?id=099db0e1a55 this failure now gets ignored, I'm afraid I don't have a good short-term answer for this either. In exchange I added a new small "smoke test": https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/cockpit.git/commit/?id=44e70ed6954 This can now run in containers and thus will actually run on Debian's infrastructure too.
