Dear u <u...@451f.org>, For some reason your answer didn't reach my mailbox and hence couldn't react. part of it might be also the reason that I was more concerned about torbrowser not being able to launch, although hadn't seen #851236 or/and #855522 . There are and were plenty of upstream bug-reports/tickets in which I had shared my experience. It's only now that I have been able to use/launch torbrowser-launcher in one of the other boxes but without a profile and handcrafting the profile from zero.
As shared by you, I could do a purge and a reinstall but that would be lot of work, It would destroy my profile and extensions and lot of handholded policicies and tweaks that I had done to torbrowser to suit my browsing experience while also having the advantage of anonymity while browsing/using proxies but would take lot of time to make it work. I haven't tried to launch torbrowser-launcher from this box but adequate still tells it has an obsolete-conffile while upgrading. I have also CCed debian-QA so they might also see and tell if its a false positive. I can't find the documentation atm but do remember Jakub (the DM as well as upstream maintainder/developer) sharing a web-page somewhere telling what needs to be if an obsolete-conffile is found and how to rid off it. It talked of doing some changes in debian/rules telling to remove the concerned file when upgrading to a new version if present in the system. Obsolte-conffiles AFAIK usually happen only in the upgrade scenario and might not occur in a fresh install. I am sorry I do not have more details to help you with except with - > adequate torbrowser-launcher > [96%] torbrowser-launcher: obsolete-conffile /etc/apparmor.d/torbrowser.start-tor-brows Look forward to your response and also reply if I'm able to fly/use torbtowser from this node/lappy. Till later. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8
