Hi. Seconding this.
My USB key, for instance, just got mounted by gnome-volume-manager, is mounted as "/media/UDISK 2.0". The icon is there in the list of volumes icons, but as unmounted device. Same happens in drivemount_applet2 where an icon is added, but looks unmounted. Hope this helps.
