I don't know the first thing about this package; presumably this happened during a dist-upgrade to current testing; stangely, though, I can't find it mentioned in my dpkg.log file..
I just caused it to happen while purging the *sarge* version: |[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo dpkg -P ttf-freefont planetpenguin-racer{,-data} tuxracer |(Reading database ... 183704 files and directories currently installed.) |Removing tuxracer ... |Removing planetpenguin-racer ... |Purging configuration files for planetpenguin-racer ... |Removing planetpenguin-racer-data ... |Removing ttf-freefont ... |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Regenerating /etc/vflib3/vflibcap... And reinstalling: |[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install ttf-freefont/stable |Reading package lists... Done |Building dependency tree... Done |Selected version 20031008-1.1 (Debian:3.1r1/stable) for ttf-freefont |The following NEW packages will be installed: | ttf-freefont |0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded. |Need to get 0B/1169kB of archives. |After unpacking 2482kB of additional disk space will be used. |Selecting previously deselected package ttf-freefont. |(Reading database ... 183320 files and directories currently installed.) |Unpacking ttf-freefont (from .../ttf-freefont_20031008-1.1_all.deb) ... |Setting up ttf-freefont (20031008-1.1) ... |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Regenerating /etc/vflib3/vflibcap... So the problem still affects the testing version, and is (sometimes?) evidenced uring a dist-upgrade. The bug would be that the upgrade should be quiet if at all possible for a stable=>stable dist-upgrade, and that purge should be quiet too. I don't know how possible it is, though, to fix the postinst from the stable release. But at least purge needs to be fixed for etch; I see that 20060126-1 is now in sid; is *also* has a dist-upgrade problem (from testing): |Setting up ttf-freefont (20060126-1) ... |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Use of uninitialized value in print at /var/lib/defoma/scripts/gs.defoma line 108. |Regenerating /etc/vflib3/vflibcap...
