What do you mean by ignore? Do not pass to daemon or do not do fast
rescan?
Which Debian version are you using? Sid, Buster, Stretch? Anything
unusual in init subsystem?

On my host I see:

[gq@vice:~]$ apt-cache policy minidlna
minidlna:
 *** 1.2.1+dfsg-1~bpo9+1 650
        650 http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch-backports/main amd64

[gq@vice:~]$ ps aux | grep minidl
minidlna 1440 0.0 0.2 373696 39620 ? Ssl окт13
0:13 /usr/sbin/minidlnad -f /etc/minidlna.conf
-P /run/minidlna/minidlna.pid -r

Will check on clean Sid box later.

Oh, marillat also package minidlna. I should take a look at his
package, may be there is something interesting in it.
