Comments/Problems:
LVs are not visible during custom partitioning phase of install,
therefor, I could not specify the root partition. LV partitions were
created ahead of time with another distro and are seen by Fedora, SuSE,
RHEL and Mandriva. I believe they are seen, but not displayed, since I
could select LVM and select delete. But I couldn't get them to display
on the assignment screen without doing some magic (see next).
There is a workaround, but it should not be needed: go to console 2 and
vgscan, vgchange, then back to the partitioner and they are then
displayed for editing and assignment.
This is a multi-boot test machine configured with LVM2 on top of
software raid5.
