The problem is that the DEP-11 icons and metadata need to be present. 'sudo apt update' will download them for you. unattended-upgrades will do it in the background but you may have to wait a day for that to run. gnome-software is always running as a background app and in this case, it looks like it needs to be restarted (manually or by logging out and logging back in) for it to recognize the updated DEP-11 files.
