Hello everybody, I have a similar problem with Gitso. First of all, I definitely use Gitso for more than 4 years or even longer. I never had any problems until a few days ago. With my Debian system (first Wheezy, then Jessie and now Stretch) I have often connected to other Linux systems. No problem. With someone using Windows, like Vista or 7, but already. Connections between Linux and Windows have never worked. There, always after a few seconds of successful connection, the window has been closed and Gitso was terminated.
This what happened for years only in Windows, now happens for a few days on Linux. I only use Linux. I have no Windows system in use and since well 2010. I have become inveterate Linuxer. In my router, I have the port 5500 released on TCP, because Gitso backwards yes works. Installations went out via the Synaptic and dependencies were automatically installed as usual. Following Medung shows me Gitso in the terminal: carlchen@carlchen-rechner:~$ gitso /usr/bin/gitso:9: wxPyDeprecationWarning: Using deprecated class PySimpleApp. app = wx.PySimpleApp() vncviewer -listen: Listening on port 5500 vncviewer -listen: Command line errors are not reported until a connection comes in. Or is it possible that a bug has crept into Debian Stretch somewhere or even Gitso is too old? Unfortunately Gitso will not be developed anymore. About Help I would be happy. Too bad that the thread creator has not reported. Greetings, carlchen
