I have done some investigations about this bug and found that it is related to the presence of a file 'icon-theme.cache' in the icon theme directory located in /usr/share/icons . Thus, if this file is present in the icon theme directory, Firefox crashes every time a link is dragged. If the file is not present, Firefox does not crash.
I think the icon cache file is produced by gtk-update-icon-cache but I don't know what package creates the cache files and when. As a workaround, I have deleted the cache file in the icon theme directory and everything works well, but I think a better solution should be found. Hope this helps, RB
