Isn't this setup by the qemu package in /lib/udev/rules.d/60-qemu-system-common.rules:KERNEL=="kvm", GROUP="kvm", MODE="0660" -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
