Kmail 16.04 has a rather annoying bug in version 16.04 in that it does not load properly user settings on startup. On Jessie the issue did not occur. How to reproduce : DO : in Kmail, click the settings menu, then configure kmail. DO : in the new window, go to the security pane, and enable option "Prefer HTML over standard text" DO : validate your choice DO : now go to the display menu, then header entry, then check fancy theme EXPECT : in your message list you should see messages with the fancy header theme and HTML rendering for HTML messages. DO : now restart Kmail EXPECT : settings are kept. ACTUAL : settings are lost. REPRODUCIBILITY : always (on all the machines tested) A workaround consist in opening again the Configure Kmail window and just click OK, but it is rather annoying. Or you can do the same with the Configure Kontact window, which also works. Could you please provide a fix for this by next p-u ?
