Ahh, so I assume that /var/cache/fonts exists, but it is owned by a group id NOT listed in /etc/groups, so stat cannot find it. This is funny that something like this happens. But we have to cater for it. So at least we know that it is NOT a debconf db_get error, but a problem with the group name. Thanks for the continued support, next version should fix this.
