Passwd maintainers, I have here an unreproducible issue with adduser which might be caused by passwd (mis)behaving if gshadow is missing. Could this be an issue with your package? "My" code in question is still worked on, so I don't think that it makes sense to keep an unreproducible bug open against that code (might be fixed, or might not be).
