Package: wireless-tools
Version: 30~pre9-12
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

What led up to the situation?
trying to use iwlist, and limit output to a specific ssid

What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Testing was consistent, it appears the essid parameter is completely ignored

What was the outcome of this action?
Command # iwlist wlan0 scanning essid sample
multiple cells returned but ssid sample is only one cell matching

What outcome did you expect instead?
A single cell, and only a single cell should be returned
