Package: bind9-host Version: 1:9.2.4-1 Followup-For: Bug #169098
I'm having problems getting this to work on Sarge. As this bug states, ping does the lookup correctly. From my resolv.conf: search amazing-internet.net theclub.chelseaartsclub.com Both host binaries from the host and bind9-host packages fail to find hosts that live in the second domain only: $ host -v joelaptop Trying "joelaptop.amazing-internet.net" ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 41381 ;; flags: qr aa rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;joelaptop.amazing-internet.net. Is there a known solution or workaround to this?
