Hello,

Snapshots occupy disk space with every upgrade and over time the amount of
disk space occupied by the snapshots may become large. To prevent disks
from running out of space, Snapper offers algorithms to automatically
delete old snapshots. (https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles-12/book_
sle_admin/data/sec_snapper_clean-up.html)

Currently the snapshots are not getting cleaned up even after creating a
good configuration file. For cleaning up numbered snapshots (administration
and installation snapshot pairs) we have to manually invoke "snapper
cleanup number” command to run the numbered cleanup algorithm.

We should add additional code in existing snapper patch to auto delete old
software snapshots when a certain number of snapshots is reached. I'm
attaching the updated patch for this change to cleanup old numbered
snapshots:

: Added "snapper cleanup number || true”

Shubham
