Package: dlib
Version: 18.18-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Currently libdlib{18, -dev} has no multiarch support and installs all
files under /usr/lib.

Multiarch support should be pretty straightforward to implement:
 1) Add Multi-Arch: same to the binary package sections in d/control.
    This is fine because header files included by the -dev package
    are not architecture dependent.
 2) Update debian/*.install files: /usr/lib/... -> /usr/lib/*/...
    For example, files may be installed under /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
    and the packaging system should cope with that.

You can find more information about it here[0].

I'm currently working on the next Debian release of dlib and intend to
fix this issue, see #894118[1].

Regards,
 Hugo
